Born on March 29th, 1985. She was born in Roswell New Mexican. Gerina is the full name of her. Gerina Stevenson, the child of Mexican grandparents Rita Stevenson and Alan Stevenson. She is American and has Mexican-American heritage. Her desire to play sports began as a small toddler. Gerina began to play golf at the age of 15. Gerina graduated from Goddard High School. In high school she won in the New Mexico Golf State Tournament. In addition to volleyball, she competed on a state-level. She went to in the University of Texas in 2003. Her senior year was a success. she was a winner in every single tournament that she took part in. In her undergraduate years, she was awarded the Conference USA's player of the season and UTEP's Female Athletic of the Year.
